Explore the beautiful gardens and home of the late Frankie Howerd OBE, film star, comedian and author, unspoilt an untouched as in the great man's time.  The downstairs of his home will be open for all to enjoy.  The house nestles beneath the south side of the panoramic Mendip Hills, in the historic village of Cross, with the majestic backdrop of Crooks Peak.  This is the perfect treat for all fans of the world renowned star.

The area is a haven for walkers.  The 17th century White Hart, the New Inn and the Lamb in Weare serve up local fare, to add to your enjoyment.  St Gregory's Church at Weare is Frankie Howerd's final resting place.

Visit Frankie's home to view his paintings and photos, and historical memorabilia.  Everything is just as it was when he lived there.  Take a step back into his world with pictures of him with numerous stars such as Richard Burton, Elizabeth Taylor and Lawrence Olivier.
